Rated tourist hotel of 4 stars, covering an area
of 3200 square meters, it has 4 major buildings:
the south building, the north building, VIP building
and new 8-storeyed building. It has 1 presidential
suite, 11 luxury suites, 9 normal suites, 76 luxury
standard rooms and 110 standard rooms as well as
22 rooms of 4-bed or 1-bed, 500 beds in total. It
has more then 20 dining halls, served are Chinese
food, western food and Japanese food, which can
hold 800 people to eat at the same time. In the
farmer’s garden located in Yanjaqao township, guests
can enjoy rural scenery to there heart’s content
while savor farmers’ homely flavour. There is a
conference center, a commercial center, a body-building
center, as well as a market and a ball hall, witch
form a complete sets of service. The hotel is equipped
with central air-conditioner and smoking response
alarm and sprinkling system. In the evening of every
day, music and dances of Dunhuang are performed,
witch has been a fixed programme of tourist itinerary.
Many leaders of the Party and the stale have stayed
in the hotel such as Jiangzhemen. Dengxiaogping,
Lipeng, Zhurongji, Lireihuan, Hujingtao, Weijianxing
and Qiaoshi as wellas leaders from foreign countries.
In 1996, the hotel was appraised one of the 50 best
starred hotels in China; in 1997, was recommended
as one of the ten examples of civilization for the
whole tourism industry and the advanced unit of
cultural civilization. The lobby in the south building
has been recommended as “gold medal’’ lobby of model
hotels. The hotel buildings as a whole was awarded
Luban Prize, the highest prize of architecture in
the country by the Ministry of Construction.
