1. Carrying out general and specific policies on
tourism of the state and the provincial tourism
development;Working out and carrying out fundamental
principles and plans of tourism development in the
region ; Directing tourism work in counties and
analogous cities;
2. Researching and working out strategy in developing
tourism market ; Organizing activities of propaganda
of image as a whole and marketing promotion abroad;
3. Directing exploitation of tourism resources ,
applying for and registering items of tourism basic
foundation;
4. Organizing general survey of tourism resources
, Directing the plan , exploitation and construction
in key tourist districts , Organizing and directing
tourism statistics of the region;
5. Organizing examinations, evaluations and approvals
of the grade in one-starred hotels and two-starred
hotels; Examining, approving and transmitting the
applications for grade of three-starred and above
three-starred hotels ;Examining and reexamining
starred hotels in the region , according to the
stipulates of examination and improvement of starred
tourist hotels of the People’s Republic of China;
6. Examining and approving and transmitting formalities
of application for establishment of international
and domestic travel agencies; Examining and supervising
the conduct of management in accordance with regulations
regarding management of travel service issued by
the state Council;
7.Examining and supervising units concerned; Examining,
approving, transmitting to the provincial department
the applications for grade of tourist attractions
according to standards of facilities and service
of various tourist attractions and vacationing districts
as well as special tourist items formulated by the
National Tourism Administration;
8.Implementing polices formulated by the National
Tourism Administration concerning tour abroad, tour
to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and border-crossing,
Directing the international exchange and cooperation
of tourism;
9. Examining and supervising the quality of service
and order of tourism market; Accepting and hearing
complaints from tourists , Safeguarding the legal
rights and interests of tourists;
10. Organizing and directing education in tourism
and personnel training , Directing construction
of mental civilization of the regional tourism industry
, Directing establishment of outstanding tourism
cities;
11. Coordinating and guiding tourist commodity exploitation;
12. Researching and guiding reforms of tourism system
of the region;
13. Researching and supervising fulfillment of safety
in tourism , participating in rescue and handling
of major accidents related to tourism;
14.Undertaking other affairs assigned by the municipal
committee of the Party and government and the provincial
tourism department; |
